Hey Nick, All very true and good points! by Thomas Taylor (Registered User) Date: 12/04/2001, 00:05:36 In response to: RE: Hi Thomas -- stenov |
I really love some of the more Complicated Breitling Quartz models. I agree that with complications, for user ease, the quartz is a winner! Actually the hybrid is nice too with the motors for the complications and the automatic for the regular timekeeping. It is all just great! I was going to add earlier that really it is wrist appeal. Do YOU like the watch? That is why they make all different kinds. I was talking to my watchmaker today about the very subject of quartz accuracy. He is certified by Rolex and many other companies as well. The Rolex quartz it seems is even more accurate than that...I will double check but I think he said their specs are 1 second in 6 months. Don't quote me but I think that is what he said. Now that is accurate. Also their quartz movement is quite a bit more finished and sophisticated than the contract movement the other guys use. It is completely in house. Now if they would put it in a few interesting models...we could all have more fun!!!! All the best! |
